Fabric Boutique was started in Kolkata in The Year 1998. We are based at
Kolkata; we have a presence in many cities of India other than West
Bengal. We had started from fabric painting & Block printing, now we
deal with Embroidery; we introduced paintings in Batik Print saris lots
of artwork paintings are introduced in to Katha stich.
The art
design has its richness and vitality. The robust attitude of folk culture
added the colour and gaiety to our artwork. In fine, Indian folk
sensibility have tremendous impact on our quest for art and aesthetics.
Most of the composition we designed with basic trends and tenets of folk
art, i.e., simplicity, rhythm, expressions through symbols and ornamentation
along with mythical and cultural themes. We didn't follow the traditional
colours of the folk art instead obviously and in abundance used blue,
brown, gray and earth colours in the colour scheme and thus made the
works become more brilliant and attractive in their effect. - But there
is no end in the journey of creation.
We do
different type of block print, applic work, aplic with block print, aplic
with embroidery, kantha stitch work, different type thread work mix and
match work, hand painting, acid painting, batik print on cotton, silk and
tassar silk fabric. We also make gents designer kurta, ladies as well as
gents kurti. We do on demand job work on block print, painting.
